Editorial policy

Sources

Facts about services come from their own pages. Facts about regulation and crime come from primary sources — regulators, official legal texts, court and government press releases, issuers’ own statements and original research reports — with the publication date. Secondary news is used only when no primary source exists, and then labelled.

Honest wording

  • No “100% protection” or “guaranteed not to be frozen” claims.
  • A high risk score is described as a reason to look closer, not proof of wrongdoing.
  • Unknown values are shown as “Not verified” or “Not published”, never as zero.
  • Example scenarios are labelled as illustrations.

Independence

Scores come only from the formula. Services cannot pay for placement or edit their reviews. If we ever add affiliate links, they will be labelled next to the button and will not change scores.
