Issuer freezes

Circle, the issuer, can block USDC addresses. An AML score cannot undo an issuer block.

What to know about USDC

Circle’s USDC terms let it block certain USDC addresses and freeze the related USDC if it decides they may be linked to illegal activity or breach its terms.^[1]
As of June 2026 Circle listed native USDC on 38 networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Base and Polygon PoS. TRON, BNB Chain and TON are not on that list.^[2]

FAQ

Is USDC on BNB Chain issued by Circle?

Not natively — BNB Chain is not on Circle’s list of native USDC networks. Tokens there are bridged versions.

Can USDC be frozen?

Yes. Circle’s terms allow it to block addresses and freeze related USDC.

We never ask for seed phrases or private keys. An AML check needs only a public address. Anyone who asks for your seed phrase to “verify” a wallet is trying to steal it.
