Shard review

Web app · Web · Telegram · API

Verdict. A Moscow-based checker with a website, Telegram bot and API. It scores addresses and transaction hashes from 0 to 100, breaks the score down by risk tag and exports PDF reports, on seven networks. After 3 free checks, prepaid packs cost 15–29 ₽ a check — paid in rubles only, to a bank on the US sanctions list.

Use with care. Shard is a registered Moscow company and we found no reports of fraud. But its public offer says you pay in Russian rubles, and the bank account it names is at Bank Saint-Petersburg, which is on the US Treasury’s SDN sanctions list. If US sanctions rules apply to you, do not pay for checks. The 3 free checks need only an account. Public offer (PDF, Russian) · OFAC SDN entry

Is Shard legit? Official links and fakes

Shard is run by a named company: Shard JSC (АО «ШАРД»), Moscow, Russia (per its public offer). Our scam vetting of 13 Oct 2026 — operator, regulator lists, security reports, complaints and whether it asks for a wallet connection — found no reports of fraud. We still add a “use with care” note: see the top of this review. Status at our automatic check of 4 Nov 2026: working. Look-alike sites and bots using its name do exist, so open it only from its official website. The real service only needs a public address — anything asking for a seed phrase, a wallet connection or a signature is fake.

Scammers copy AML brands with look-alike sites and Telegram bots. Open a service only from its official website, never connect a wallet or sign a transaction to “check” it, and ignore anyone who offers to recover lost crypto in its name. Live list of fake AML checkers

FAQ

How much does Shard cost?

After 3 free checks, prepaid packs cost 290 ₽ for 10 checks, 4,500 ₽ for 250 and 15,000 ₽ for 1,000 — 29, 18 and 15 ₽ a check. There is no subscription.

Can I pay Shard from outside Russia?

Its public offer says payments are made in Russian rubles, and the bank account it names is at Bank Saint-Petersburg, which is on the US Treasury’s SDN sanctions list. If US sanctions rules apply to you, do not pay for checks.

Does Shard ask for a seed phrase?

It should not, and a real AML check never needs one — only a public address. Any bot or site using this name that asks for a seed phrase or a wallet connection is fake.

Can Shard guarantee my exchange won’t freeze funds?

No service can. Exchanges and stablecoin issuers use their own data and rules. A low score lowers the risk; it is not a guarantee.

A high risk score is a reason to look closer, not proof of a crime. A low score does not guarantee that an exchange or issuer will not freeze funds.
