TRM Labs review

Enterprise platform · API · Web

Verdict. A San Francisco blockchain intelligence company that works with businesses and government agencies. Wallet Screening checks an address before a transaction and returns its risks and attribution, with 155+ configurable settings by risk type and category; Transaction Monitoring watches deposits and withdrawals with rule-based alerts and daily re-screening, through an API or its web app. It is sold on contract — demo on request, no public price and no self-serve check for individuals — which is why it has no score here.

Is TRM Labs legit? Official links and fakes

TRM Labs is run by a named company: TRM Labs, Inc., San Francisco, United States (per its privacy policy and website terms). Our scam vetting of 13 Oct 2026 — operator, regulator lists, security reports, complaints and whether it asks for a wallet connection — found no reports of fraud. Status at our automatic check of 4 Nov 2026: working. Look-alike sites and bots using its name do exist, so open it only from its official website. The real service only needs a public address — anything asking for a seed phrase, a wallet connection or a signature is fake.

Found on public phishing lists (MetaMask, ScamSniffer; checked automatically every 3 days): 24 look-alike sites, such as trmlabscoinab[.]com, trmlabscoinac[.]com, trmlabscoinad[.]com, trmlabscoin[.]help, trmlabscoin[.]io, trmlabscoin[.]org, h5[.]trmlabscoin[.]net, trmlabs[.]cam.

  • TRM says trmlabs.com is its only domain and that it is not involved in fund recovery for victims. Fake “TRM coin” and “TRM recovery” sites such as trmlabscoins[.]com and trmlabsassetsrecovery[.]com are on the MetaMask phishing list. We found no TRM token, and its website links no Telegram account. TRM impersonation warning
Scammers copy AML brands with look-alike sites and Telegram bots. Open a service only from its official website, never connect a wallet or sign a transaction to “check” it, and ignore anyone who offers to recover lost crypto in its name. Live list of fake AML checkers

FAQ

Can an individual check a wallet with TRM Labs?

Not directly. Wallet Screening and Transaction Monitoring are sold to businesses after a demo request. Its free Sanctions and Beacon Network API is available on request through a form and checks only sanctions and Beacon Network (flagged-address) exposure, not a full risk profile.

Does TRM Labs recover stolen crypto or run a Telegram bot?

No. TRM says it is not involved in fund recovery for victims, and its website links no Telegram account. Calls, sites or bots offering “TRM recovery” are impersonators.

Why is TRM Labs listed with the editor’s picks but not scored?

Our editors list Chainalysis, Elliptic, Crystal and TRM Labs first as the best-known blockchain analytics providers. They are not scored because they do not publish prices, and our formula needs one.

Does TRM Labs ask for a seed phrase?

It should not, and a real AML check never needs one — only a public address. Any bot or site using this name that asks for a seed phrase or a wallet connection is fake.

Can TRM Labs guarantee my exchange won’t freeze funds?

No service can. Exchanges and stablecoin issuers use their own data and rules. A low score lowers the risk; it is not a guarantee.

A high risk score is a reason to look closer, not proof of a crime. A low score does not guarantee that an exchange or issuer will not freeze funds.
