Chainalysis review
Verdict. One of the best-known blockchain analytics companies: KYT monitors incoming and outgoing transactions in real time, and Address Screening gives severity risk scores by category, with continuous monitoring. It is sold to businesses on contract — there is no self-serve check or public price for individuals, which is why it has no score here.
Why it is not scored yet
Our score needs a published price, a confirmed network list and a documented report format. Missing for Chainalysis: no published price. Below is how it would do on each criterion with what we could verify.
Missing: no published price, no free check, subscription terms not stated and price list not public.
6 of the 10 core networks are confirmed in its own docs: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TON, Litecoin and XRP Ledger. BNB Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum are only claimed elsewhere (half a point each).
Numeric risk score, breakdown by risk category and transaction-hash checks. Missing: PDF report not verified.
Operator named (Chainalysis Inc.) and says it uses its own attribution data.
No wallet connection — you only paste an address. Missing: account required for the first check.
Available via API and Web.

Supported networks
It claims “400+ networks”; we show only the networks its public pages name for KYT or Address Screening (the full list needs a customer login). “Not verified” = claimed outside its docs; “Not on public pages” = not named on its public pages; it may still be covered for customers.

Is Chainalysis legit? Official links and fakes
Chainalysis is run by a named company: Chainalysis Inc., New York, United States (per its privacy policy). Our scam vetting of 13 Oct 2026 — operator, regulator lists, security reports, complaints and whether it asks for a wallet connection — found no reports of fraud. Status at our automatic check of 4 Nov 2026: working. Look-alike sites and bots using its name do exist, so open it only from its official website. The real service only needs a public address — anything asking for a seed phrase, a wallet connection or a signature is fake.

FAQ
Can an individual check a wallet with Chainalysis?
Not directly. KYT and Address Screening are sold to businesses on contract. Its former free sanctions oracle for developers is marked deprecated and no longer maintained.
Why is Chainalysis listed first but not scored?
Our editors list Chainalysis, Elliptic, Crystal and TRM Labs first as the best-known blockchain analytics providers. They are not scored because they do not publish prices, and our formula needs one.
Does Chainalysis ask for a seed phrase?
It should not, and a real AML check never needs one — only a public address. Any bot or site using this name that asks for a seed phrase or a wallet connection is fake.
Can Chainalysis guarantee my exchange won’t freeze funds?
No service can. Exchanges and stablecoin issuers use their own data and rules. A low score lowers the risk; it is not a guarantee.
