How we build this list
- Each row is an OFAC “recent action” whose SDN List changes included “Digital Currency Address” identifiers, or a delisting of such an entry. We read each action on ofac.treasury.gov and, where there is one, the Treasury press release.
- Summaries repeat what Treasury says about the targets; a designation is a legal finding by the US government, not a court verdict.
- Sanctions apply to the listed person or entity, and OFAC says its address lists are not exhaustive: other addresses of the same party are covered too.

FAQ
Where can I check whether a crypto address is on the OFAC list?
OFAC’s Sanctions List Search lets you search the SDN List, including digital currency addresses entered as identifiers. An AML checker also catches indirect exposure — funds that passed through a listed address earlier.
Does a sanctioned address mean I am in trouble if I received coins from it?
Not automatically, but sanctions rules usually have no minimum amount. Do not send the coins on, keep records and contact your exchange or a lawyer. See the SDN List explained.
How often does OFAC add crypto addresses?
Irregularly, a few times a year in recent years. We update this list when a new action appears on OFAC’s recent actions page.
