AML check on Manta Pacific

Manta Pacific is an Ethereum layer 2 that stores its transaction data on Celestia; addresses look like Ethereum’s (0x…) and fees are paid in ETH.

Address format0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters (EVM) · chain ID 169; fees are paid in ETH0x3859af2256d97ce671df25e5b24e4057038efaadExample for illustration, not a real address.
Note

A Manta Pacific address looks exactly like an Ethereum address, but its activity on Manta Pacific is separate, so make sure your checker scans this network (chain ID 169). Manta Atlantic, a different Polkadot chain, was shut down in 2026; Manta says Pacific is unaffected.

How to check a Manta Pacific address

  1. Get the public addressAsk your counterparty for the address they will send from — or copy it from the incoming transaction.
  2. Pick a service that covers Manta PacificChoose one marked “Supported” in the list above. A clean result for an address on Ethereum says nothing about its Manta Pacific history; confirm the checker covers Manta Pacific specifically.
  3. Run the check and read itWithdrawals to Ethereum via the official bridge can take days and cannot be cancelled, so check the receiving address before you start.
A real AML check needs only a public address. Never share a seed phrase or private key.

Manta Pacific specifics

  • Manta Pacific stores its transaction data on Celestia, a separate data network, instead of on Ethereum.[1]
  • Network fees on Manta Pacific are paid in ETH, not MANTA, and the network's chain ID is 169.[2]
  • Manta's docs say moving funds from Manta Pacific back to Ethereum through the official Manta Native Bridge takes about 7 days, and a withdrawal cannot be cancelled once started.[3]
  • In 2026 Manta shut down its separate Polkadot chain, Manta Atlantic, and said Manta Pacific is not affected and continues to operate normally.[4]
  • Neither Tether's supported-protocols page nor Circle's native USDC list includes Manta Pacific (checked 4 October 2026).[5]
  • L2BEAT reports that Manta Pacific has no working fraud-proof system yet, so users must trust the block proposer, and that critical contracts can be upgraded with no delay, which it says could result in the loss of all funds.[6]
  • L2BEAT notes that Manta Pacific's data on Celestia is not checked on Ethereum (no Blobstream data bridge is used), and that a 5-of-7 multisig can upgrade most contracts.[7]
  • According to L2BEAT, only whitelisted proposers can publish Manta Pacific's state to Ethereum, so if they stop, users cannot withdraw through the official bridge.[8]

FAQ

Is Manta Pacific still running in 2026?

Yes. Manta's own migration FAQ says the 2026 shutdown of Manta Atlantic, its separate Polkadot chain, does not affect Manta Pacific, which continues to operate normally.

Do I need MANTA tokens to pay fees on Manta Pacific?

No. Manta's network information lists ETH as the currency for fees on Manta Pacific (chain ID 169).

Is there native USDT or USDC on Manta Pacific?

No. As of 4 October 2026, neither Tether nor Circle lists Manta Pacific as a network where they issue USDT or USDC directly, so any USDT or USDC you see there is not issued natively by them.

How do I check a Manta Pacific address for AML risk?

Copy the public address, open one of the services listed above that supports Manta Pacific, and run the check. You never need a seed phrase or private key.

What does “Not verified” mean?

The service claims support somewhere — in marketing copy or a third-party page — but its own docs, pricing or FAQ do not list the network. Treat it as unknown.
