AML check on Berachain

Berachain is an EVM layer 1 (chain ID 80094). Its addresses look exactly like Ethereum 0x addresses, but each chain keeps its own history, so check the address on Berachain itself.

Address format0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters (EVM) · chain ID 80094; fees are paid in BERA0x9cc7b566eb98e94b9e26b542f2b33b84fff6b9f0Example for illustration, not a real address.
Note

Berachain renamed some tokens in 2026: the HONEY stablecoin is now Bera USD (BUSD) at the same contract, and BGT is deprecated, so older guides and explorer labels may still use the old names. Neither Tether nor Circle lists Berachain as a chain where they issue USDT or USDC directly.

How to check a Berachain address

  1. Get the public addressAsk your counterparty for the address they will send from — or copy it from the incoming transaction.
  2. Pick a service that covers BerachainChoose one marked “Supported” in the list above. Before sending, make sure your wallet shows chain ID 80094 and look up the address on berascan.com, the explorer listed in Berachain's docs.
  3. Run the check and read itUse the official bridge listed in Berachain's docs (bridge.berachain.com) and be cautious with unfamiliar or newly created tokens, as BEX's own docs advise.
A real AML check needs only a public address. Never share a seed phrase or private key.

Berachain specifics

  • Berachain mainnet uses chain ID 80094, pays transaction fees (gas) in BERA, and its official block explorer is berascan.com.[1]
  • Under Proof of Liquidity, Berachain sends its newly issued token rewards to apps and to users who provide liquidity or stake, rather than treating them purely as a cost of securing the network.[2]
  • BGT, the token Berachain previously used for governance and reward routing, is now deprecated; Berachain's docs tell holders to redeem it for BERA in the Berachain Hub, and rewards are now paid in BERA and its staking version sWBERA.[3]
  • Berachain's native stablecoin HONEY was renamed Bera USD (BUSD) on 19 August 2026 with no change of contract address; the docs describe it as fully collateralized by approved assets including USDC, BYUSD, USDT0 and USDe.[4]
  • Berachain's docs name bridge.berachain.com, powered by LayerZero, as the canonical (official) bridge to Berachain, and also list LayerZero Superbridge as an alternative.[5]
  • BEX's own documentation says that on 21 January 2025 Balancer disclosed a vulnerability in its V2 Vault code that BEX shares, and warns users to be careful with untrusted or newly created tokens.[6]

Common risks on Berachain

FAQ

Is my Ethereum address the same on Berachain?

The same 0x address works on Berachain, but balances and transaction history are kept separately on each chain. An AML check of the address on Ethereum does not cover what it did on Berachain.

What happened to the HONEY stablecoin?

On 19 August 2026 Berachain renamed HONEY to Bera USD (BUSD). Berachain's docs say the contract address is unchanged and no swap or claim is needed.

How do I check a Berachain address for AML risk?

Copy the public address, open one of the services listed above that supports Berachain, and run the check. You never need a seed phrase or private key.

What does “Not verified” mean?

The service claims support somewhere — in marketing copy or a third-party page — but its own docs, pricing or FAQ do not list the network. Treat it as unknown.
