XDC Network is an EVM-compatible blockchain aimed at trade finance. Addresses often start with 'xdc' instead of '0x', but both spellings refer to the same account.

If a checker, wallet or exchange rejects an XDC address, try swapping the 'xdc' prefix for '0x' (or the reverse) and change nothing else. The 40 characters after the prefix must stay exactly the same.

How to check an XDC Network address

XDC Network specifics

  • XDC Network's official docs say addresses can be written in two formats, '0x...' or 'xdc...', and the characters after the prefix stay the same.[1]
  • XDC uses a consensus system called XDPoS 2.0 (XinFin Delegated Proof of Stake), where the top 108 candidates become masternodes (validators), and each needs a minimum stake of 10,000,000 XDC on mainnet.[2]
  • XDC mainnet uses chain ID 50 (the Apothem testnet uses 51), and its native currency, used for network fees, has the symbol XDC.[3]
  • According to the official announcements page, the XDC mainnet upgraded to 'XDC 2.0' in October 2024.[4]
  • On 17 September 2025 Circle announced that native USDC and its cross-chain transfer protocol (CCTP V2) are live on XDC Network. Circle lists the official USDC contract as 0xfA2958CB79b0491CC627c1557F441eF849Ca8eb1.[5]
  • Blockchain analytics firm TRM Labs says its tools can trace funds and screen wallets on XDC (vendor's own product claim).[6]
  • On 3 December 2020 a hot wallet on the AlphaEx exchange holding over 300 million XDCe was hacked. XDCe was an ERC-20 token on Ethereum that could be swapped 1:1 for native XDC. XinFin said customer funds were never compromised, and it pulled liquidity from exchanges selling XDCe to stop the stolen tokens being sold.[7]

FAQ

Is an 'xdc...' address different from a '0x...' address?

No. XDC's official docs say addresses can be shown in either format, and only the prefix differs. The official wallet guide says to replace 'xdc' with '0x' when pasting an address into MetaMask.

Is there native USDC or USDT on XDC?

Circle lists XDC as a native USDC network and announced USDC live on XDC on 17 September 2025. Tether's list of supported networks did not include XDC when we checked on 4 October 2026.

Who validates transactions on XDC?

XDC uses XDPoS 2.0 consensus with 108 masternodes. According to the official docs, each masternode needs a minimum stake of 10,000,000 XDC.

How do I check a XDC Network address for AML risk?

Copy the public address, open one of the services listed above that supports XDC Network, and run the check. You never need a seed phrase or private key.

What does “Not verified” mean?

The service claims support somewhere — in marketing copy or a third-party page — but its own docs, pricing or FAQ do not list the network. Treat it as unknown.
