AML check on Flare
Flare is an Ethereum-compatible layer 1 with 0x addresses and built-in price and data feeds; it is also home to FXRP, a version of XRP bridged in through FAssets.
Screen a Flare 0x address with Flare selected, not Ethereum: the address format is the same, but each network keeps its own transaction history. FXRP and USD₮0 reach Flare through bridges (FAssets from the XRP Ledger, LayerZero for USD₮0), so part of their history sits on another chain.
Services that check Flare
How to check a Flare address
- Get the public addressAsk your counterparty for the address they will send from — or copy it from the incoming transaction.
- Pick a service that covers FlareChoose one marked “Supported” in the list above. Choose Flare explicitly in the checker for a 0x address, and confirm the checker supports Flare's P-chain before relying on a result for a P-flare1... address.
- Run the check and read itFor FXRP or USD₮0, also check where the funds came from before they reached Flare: FXRP is minted from XRP sent on the XRP Ledger, and USD₮0 moves between chains through LayerZero.
Flare specifics
- Flare mainnet uses chain ID 14, its native token FLR is also used to pay gas (transaction fees), and new blocks arrive roughly every 1.8 seconds.[1]
- Flare has a built-in price oracle, the FTSO: each price feed comes from around 100 independent data providers chosen by FLR holders through delegated stake, and the fastest feeds update with every block.[2]
- To mint FXRP (XRP on Flare), a user sends XRP to an FAssets agent, who holds the underlying XRP; Flare's Data Connector checks the payment, and the matching FXRP is created as an ERC-20 token on Flare.[3]
- FAssets are over-collateralised: agents lock 'vault collateral' in stablecoins or other approved liquid tokens, agents and FLR holders who opt in supply FLR 'pool collateral', and an agent whose collateral falls too low can be liquidated.[4]
- Flare announced on 24 September 2025 that FAssets were live on mainnet, starting with FXRP v1.2, with minting capped at 5 million FXRP in the first week.[5]
- Since April 2025 Flare has had USD₮0, an omnichain version of USDT that moves between chains through LayerZero and is backed 1:1 by USDT locked on Ethereum.[6]
- Elliptic announced in November 2023 that its monitoring, compliance and analysis software supports FLR, with wallet and transaction screening for organisations building on Flare.[7]
Common risks on Flare
FAQ
Why does my Flare wallet show a 0x address and a P-flare1 address?
Flare's C-chain, used for smart contracts and everyday transfers, uses the Ethereum-style 0x format. The P-chain, used by Flare's official staking tool, uses Bech32 addresses that start with P-flare1. Both come from the same key, and moving FLR between them takes one transaction on each chain: an export, then an import.
What is FXRP and who holds the XRP behind it?
FXRP is an ERC-20 token on Flare that represents XRP bridged from the XRP Ledger. In Flare's FAssets system, the minter sends XRP to an agent, who holds it. Agents back the system with extra collateral: stablecoin 'vault collateral' plus FLR 'pool collateral' that FLR holders can also add to. Flare announced FXRP live on mainnet on 24 September 2025.
Is USDT or USDC available on Flare?
Flare was not on Tether's list of supported USDT blockchains or Circle's list of native USDC blockchains when we checked on 4 October 2026. Flare's own blog says USD₮0, an omnichain version of USDT backed 1:1 by USDT locked on Ethereum, has been available on Flare since April 2025.
How do I check a Flare address for AML risk?
Copy the public address, open one of the services listed above that supports Flare, and run the check. You never need a seed phrase or private key.
What does “Not verified” mean?
The service claims support somewhere — in marketing copy or a third-party page — but its own docs, pricing or FAQ do not list the network. Treat it as unknown.
