AML check on Plasma

Plasma is a stablecoin-focused blockchain that works like Ethereum: addresses start with 0x, and USD₮ there circulates as USDT0, a bridged version of Tether's token.

Address format0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters (EVM) · chain ID 97450x4c22f3c248fe158777d58ce25e164493098193dfExample for illustration, not a real address.
Note

A Plasma address looks exactly like an Ethereum address, but its balance and history are separate, so a check run on Ethereum does not cover its activity on Plasma. Choose Plasma specifically in your AML checker, and confirm the checker supports it.

How to check a Plasma address

  1. Get the public addressAsk your counterparty for the address they will send from — or copy it from the incoming transaction.
  2. Pick a service that covers PlasmaChoose one marked “Supported” in the list above. Before sending, confirm the receiving wallet or exchange supports USDT0 on Plasma; a matching 0x address does not mean a platform credits Plasma deposits.
  3. Run the check and read itZero-fee USD₮ applies to transfers on Plasma itself; bridges, exchanges and apps may still charge their own fees.
A real AML check needs only a public address. Never share a seed phrase or private key.

Plasma specifics

  • Plasma's mainnet beta launched on 25 September 2025, with XPL as the native token used for transactions and validator rewards.[1]
  • Plasma Mainnet Beta uses chain ID 9745, and network fees are currently paid in the native XPL token.[2]
  • Paying gas in stablecoins is described in Plasma's current docs as a feature still being built (whitelisted tokens via a protocol-run paymaster), not as live today.[3]
  • Plasma advertises zero-fee USD₮ transfers but notes they refer to Plasma routes and that third-party fees may apply.[4]
  • USD₮ on Plasma circulates as USDT0, which Bitfinex describes as the omnichain bridged version of Tether's USDt, developed by Everdawn and LayerZero and managed by the USDT0 Consortium.[5]
  • Circle lists Plasma among the networks with native USDC and announced USDC, EURC and its CCTP transfer protocol on Plasma on 28 August 2026.[6]
  • TRM Labs states that Plasma is supported across its platform for tracing, wallet screening, transaction monitoring and entity attribution.[7]
  • Elliptic announced a partnership with Plasma on 25 September 2025 to provide AML, KYC and KYT (transaction-monitoring) coverage for Plasma network activity.[8]

Common risks on Plasma

FAQ

Is my Plasma address the same as my Ethereum address?

It uses the same 0x format and Ethereum's account model, so the address string can be identical, but Plasma is a separate blockchain with its own balances and transaction history.

Is USDT on Plasma the same as USDT on Ethereum or Tron?

Not exactly. On Plasma it circulates as USDT0, which Bitfinex describes as a bridged version of Tether's USDt managed by the USDT0 Consortium. Plasma does not appear on Tether's own list of supported protocols.

Are USDT transfers on Plasma really free?

Plasma says zero-fee USD₮ transfers refer to Plasma routes and that third-party fees may apply. Other transactions on the network currently pay fees in XPL.

How do I check a Plasma address for AML risk?

Copy the public address, open one of the services listed above that supports Plasma, and run the check. You never need a seed phrase or private key.

What does “Not verified” mean?

The service claims support somewhere — in marketing copy or a third-party page — but its own docs, pricing or FAQ do not list the network. Treat it as unknown.
